I know this is really late, but I wanted to share some of our photos from the Ice Storm we had here the end of January...

Our New Year Trip

Our friend, Erik Korem got married in Mississippi on January 10th. We drove to Memphis to break up the trip, then on to the gulf coast for a couple days. We have been trying to keep Davis away from the TV, but for a 12+ hour trip, we figured we'd need something to occupy him. It's funny how you don't realize how many scary parts are in Disney movies unti lyou show them to a child. The Lion King was the worst... we had to fast-forward through half the movie. The Little Mermaid was pretty good, though. And he liked watching all the fish. Ooh... we need to find Little Nemo. That one would be great! Here are a few pictures from the wedding...

Davis stole the show with his little suit and sweet moves on the dance floor!

And here's a shot of us on our visit to Memphis to see the Scrip family...

Merry Christmas

So this was Davis' first REAL Christmas. Last year didn't really count, because he didn't know what was going on. But he had fun this year! He opened some of his presents, and we had to help with the rest after he lost focus! Here are a few pictures of the big event!

Thanksgiving and Kisses

Yes, we all ate a little too much yesterday, including Davis! He loved his first REAL Thanksgiving... last year he just got his meal secondary, so it didn't count. This year, he enjoyed every bit. Turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, pumpkin gooey bars and dirt cake! He ate a ton, and he would have ate even more but I stopped him. I was afraid he'd get sick!

It's the day after Thanksgiving and the cutest thing happened today... I just had to share. Davis woke up at his normal time of 7:00. I fed him a bottle, but instead of going back to sleep like he normally does, he wanted no part. So I brought him into bed with us, and that's when it happened. He sat up, looked at Johnny, got a big grin, and crawled over to give him a kiss. He kept doing it over and over again... so cute! It was the first time HE initiated kisses. Of course, he does it with his mouth open, and just leans into you. We'll have to correct that habit before he becomes a teenager :)

Party Time!

No, we're not party animals... though that does seem to be the themes of my blogs so far :)
I'm posting some pictures of Davis' 1st Birthday party. Enjoy!
